The Valley Schlinig 

 

The Valley Schlinig branches off between the village Schleis and Burgeis and it goes westwards toward Switzerland.

Embedded in the Sesvenna Group this Valley with its small hamlet Schlinig is a very calm and natural valley.

The Valley Schlinig is a popular hiking area and it is an ideal starting point for many walking tours in the Sesvenna Group: Pasture Schlinig, Sesvenna Mountain Hut, Piz Sesvenna, George Uina, etc.

In Winter Schlinig is the eldorado for cross-country skiers. In 2008 the Junior-World-Championship in cross-country skiing took place in Schlinig. You can reach Schlinig with the free shuttle.
