The Ortler Group 

The highest mountain of the eastern Alps 

In the Ortler Group there are more than 30 3000 metres high mountains and in the south it is the frontier between the Vinschgau Valley and the Province of Trento and Sondrio.

The Ortler Group is situated in the Italian National Park Stilfserjoch and so it is a protected area.
