The Castle Churburg overlooks the village. And it is in the Castle that the count von Trapp lives. Thanks to its wonderful and perfectly equipped armoury it is often visited and a great place of interest.
The area round Schluderns is ideal for walks: lonely paths along the irrigation system lead you through forests, green meadows and big orchards. The 100 hectare big biotope is the jewel of Schluderns. In this biotope you can find lots of animals and plants which are threatened by extinction. Active tourists go jogging along the keep-fit trail or try our paragliding.
Schluderns is a cosy town with old houses and romantic places and sometimes it seems that time goes differently here. Maybe this is because of the impressive Castle Churburg wich is lying and watching ober the town, maybe it is because "the south" starts here, as fruits and vines grow here or maybe it is just because people are so friendly here!
